Quite a few members took in the check presentation to Spencer’s Place. The money was raised at the silent auction during our annual Christmas Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The staff all came outside after the check presentation to view all the cars and George picked his favorite car, which turned out to be mine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those that don’t know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Spencer\u2019s Place is a project created in partnership with Employed and Overjoyed Foundation to introduce equal employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spencer\u2019s Place provides adults with disabilities job training and direct skill development to earn a paycheck, build relationships, gain a sense of purpose, and show the community the beauty of diversity and inclusion.”<\/p>\n\n\n
