The money was raised at the silent auction during our annual Christmas Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The staff all came outside after the check presentation to view all the cars and George picked his favorite car, which turned out to be mine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those that don&#8217;t know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Spencer\u2019s Place is a project created in partnership with Employed and Overjoyed Foundation to introduce equal employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spencer\u2019s Place provides adults with disabilities job training and direct skill development to earn a paycheck, build relationships, gain a sense of purpose, and show the community the beauty of diversity and inclusion.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 12, 2026 Surprise, AZ Pictures by: Margaret Maione, Mike Arney and Al Turley Quite a few members took in the check presentation to Spencer&#8217;s Place.
